Fishermen’s cottage

I took these photos during my visit to my childhood home in Gotland, Sweden when I went to see my parents back in March. It was just beginning to warm up and you could feel that spring was on it’s way. This particular place has a lot of sentimental value to me as it is a place we often spent time. It’s a place carrying a lot of history with it’s old fishermen’s cottages lining the cost. My great grandfather used to go out and set his nets, sleep in one of the cottages and then go back out early in the morning. A hard life that was all about putting food on the table.
