Down by the river

A few weeks ago I took a walk down to the river with my children. We packed some snacks and drinks, and my oldest son brought along his stick-rod and a jar of worms as well. While the children got busy fishing I took these photos of the trees that grow along, or rather over, the water. It’s amazing how the trees can grow in this way, and when the water is at it’s highest they are completely submerged.
