I recently took out the beads for the first time in a very long time. As the children in my current group are rather small I just never thought they’d manage. I was surprised to see that they managed quite well, although they poured them back out again before I could stop them. The second time I made sure to put them away just as they finished so that I could iron them and give them to the children. The youngest child to make a bead plate is only 2 ½ years old, and with a little help he put the beads in place, training his finger skills at the same time.
